Guest Bloggers

I've been meaning to write this post for a week now, so my apologies to the upcoming guest bloggers. As much as I love ice cream, this site isn't just about me, it's about everyone's love of cold treats. I probably don't say it enough, but I really do encourage each and every one of you to be a part of this blog. Sure, I'm a fan of my own opinion, but your contribution really does help us all out when you comment with a second opinion of your own. Thanks for your past, present and future help!

With that being said, let me talk about our bloggers a little bit. First up is an official visit from book author and fellow blogger Steff Deschenes. She has come up with the excellent idea of hosting a virtual book tour to support the fun read known as "The Ice Cream Theory". No, it's not about making ice cream, but rather a very unique way of how she relates her life to how she thinks about different flavors of ice cream. She will be here on Monday, October 25th and has promised a review of something seasonal (as in something I'd probably be afraid to review).

Our other two guest bloggers have graciously accepted my Perry's Ice Cream coupons in exchange for writing a review for all of us to enjoy. Now I'm going to let them introduce themselves when the time comes, but the great thing is they are seeing Perry's from two different sides. One reviewer has grown up with Perry's and will be checking out their new Gelato offerings. Our other reviewer is from my area and so I don't think he has much experience with Perry's. I'm pretty excited because I'm hoping to get two unique perspectives here. My thanks to both of them in advance.

If this goes well, maybe we can get some other people on the blog.

Now as a side note (you know I love 'em), I got an email from one of the Perry reviewers saying they picked up some new treats from Wegmans. I then just so happened to open up google news, and what do I see? Wegman's first store coming to Massachusetts! One has to assume that they will be bringing Perry's with them and who know's what else! It's not some place I can hit on the way home, but I can definitely bring my cooler full of ice packs and hopefully pick up some new treats --- side note to the side note: I probably shouldn't get too excited since the store isn't open 'til Fall of 2011.

(there should be a few new posts coming this weekend, stay tuned)
